Miller
George W. Miller, 80 of Lorain died Friday, May
12, 2006, at Hearthstone at Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. Miller was born in Washington, PA on February 22, 1926. He was a
US Army veteran of WW II. He served in the Rhineland. He received the
American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star,
Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the WW II Victory
Medal.
He received his diploma from Lorain Admiral King. He attended North
Lake Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Miller retired in 1984 as grounds foreman at Ridge Hill Memorial
Park Cemetery Amherst, Ohio. He had previously been employed by former
DLugos Burial Vault Company. He also worked for the construction company
that built Lorain Admiral King High School.
He enjoyed hunting and being out-of-doors.
Mr. Miller is survived by his daughter: Retired US Army Technical
Sergeant Carrie J. Richins of Tacoma, Washington, 4 grandchildren, 3 great
grandchildren and a sister Ann Sonson of Washington, PA.
He was preceded in death by Stephen W and Mary (McMasters) Miller,
brothers Wylie Miller, Kenneth S. Miller and Kenneth R. Miller.
There will be no services and burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial
Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
