Please accept our deepest sympathy for the passing of George. We have wonderful memories of him. He was our mailman on South Jefferson for many years. We moved here in 1972 and raised our son, Mark (he always told us he also had a Mark) and daughter Jennifer here and they also have great memories of his kindness and caring. We always enjoyed seeing and talking with him.
I'm sure you will miss him as we did when he was off our route  but hopefully, your wonderful memories will help you. Alan & Linda Irwin and family

Dear Mrs. Pappas,

My name is Cindy Wagner.  My grandfather was George Criswell from Wheeling, WV.  His brother and my great uncle, Emerson (Pete) Criswell, were both very good friends with your husband.  My Uncle Pete passed in 1972 and my grandfather, George in 1998.

My grandfather was also a postal carrier for 30 plus years.   I can remember my grandfather and my uncle speaking very highly of your husband.

I just wanted to send you my condolences.  I'm sorry for your loss.

Sincerely,

Cindy Wagner

Mrs. Pappas,
Please accept my deepest sympathy in loss of your husband.  George was the mail carrier for my parents, Jack & Mary Masterson, on the corner of Garfield & Nebraska for many years.  Your husband was one of the kindest people.  He always had a smile for people or a funny little joke to tell.  He had a hard job and he did it very well.  He also treated the people on his route with respect.  He was a wonderful person & my thoughts & prayers will be with you.  May God Bless & Keep You.
