Kenneth R. Meyers
Kenneth R. "Ken" Meyers, 58, of Elyria, formerly of
Lorain (Ashland) passed away at his home on Saturday, January 22, 2011,
unexpectedly.
Mr. Meyers was born in Ft. Lee, VA on January 14, 1953, the son of
Neil R. and Betty J. (nee Armstrong) Meyers of Vermilion who both survive.
He was a graduate of Lorain's Admiral King High School, class of 1971. He
enjoyed fishing, and playing both poker and the lottery.
He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain.
He worked as a maintenance man for Sherwood Forest Apartments, Six Flags
Amusements, and the Oberlin Manor Apartments.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters Eileen M. (Mark
Roberts) Rhoades of Loudonville, Laura E. (Bradley) McAfoos of North
Pole, Alaska, granddaughters Aurora McAfoos and Joliana Rodriguez, his
longtime companion Bonnie of Lorain, brothers Dave (Debbie) Meyers, Jeff
(Jan) Meyers both of Lorain, his uncle Erwin (Ann) Armstrong of Amherst, his
aunts Jan King of North Ridgeville, Linda Donahue of New Castle, VA his
nephew Tom Meyers and a niece Jamie Meyers.
Friends may call Thursday, January 27, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. at the
Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street,
Lorain, Ohio 44052. Additionally friends may call on Friday, January 28, 2011 from 1:00 pm until funeral services at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate.
