Barbara Helen Goodman
Mrs. Goodman was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 16, 1930, the daughter
of the late Benjamin and Rae (nee Tucker) Berkman. She was a 1948 graduate
of Glenville High School in Cleveland. She moved to Lorain in 1951.
She had been employed an Administraive Aid/Secretary to the Rabbi at ABI
Synagogue for more than 20 years, retiring in 1998. She also had worked as a
kindergarten teacher's aid at Brownell School.
Mrs. Goodman was a member of International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia
Foundation, Hadassah, ABI Sisterhood and the Jewish War Veterans Auxillary.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years Arthur Goodman, sons Mark B.
(Tami) Goodman of Lorain, Ron M. Goodman of Columbus, granddaughters Anna
and Sarah, sister Sandra (Harold) Kuperberg, of Baltimore, MD, a
sister-in-law Lenore Berkman of Cleveland, 8 nieces and 2 nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Owen
Berkman.
Graveside Services will be Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Salem
Cemetery, 1459 E. North Ridge Road, Sheffield Township with Cantor David
Wolinski, officiating. Shiva will be observed at the family home from 4:30 -
6:30 p.m. Sunday.
