Mrs. Evans was born June 24, 1917 in Elyria and departed this life on December 21, 2010 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a short illness.  She was the widow of Robley L. Evans.  They had been married for 61 years.  She had been a resident of Anchor Lodge Assisted Living.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Raymond Ward, her sister, Charlotte Ward and her son-in-law, Daniel Rayha.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Adele Evans of Cleveland, her daughters, Betty Evans Rayha of Parma and Brenda Evans Davenport  (John) of Fredericksburg, VA, her grandchildren, Daniel Rayha, Jr. of Parma, Becky (Davenport) and John Weidenbruch of Marblehead, MA, Deborah (Davenport) and Darren McMullan of Fredericksburg, VA and Susan Cappy of Wickliffe, OH.  She is also survived by one great-grandson and three great-grand daughters.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, condolences take the form of contributions to Grace Communion International,   #150, in care of Mr. Charles Palmer, 2256 River Road, Willoughby Hills, OH, 44094 or to the Black River Historical Society, Moore House, 309 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH  44052.
