Arnold "Ralph" Eanes
Arnold R. "Ralph" Eanes, 80, of Lorain passed away on Saturday evening,
January 8, 2011 at the Anchor Lodge Retirement Center in Lorain following a
brief illness.
Mr. Eanes was born in Princewick, WV on September 26, 1930, the son of the
late Ollie A and Ora I (nee Archer) Eanes. He served in the U.S. Navy during
the post WW II era.
He was a retired crane operator at US Steel in Lorain: retiring after 30
years.
He was a member of F & AM Black River Lodge # 786, Scottish Rite-Valley of
Cleveland and the American Legion Post # 30.
He enjoyed fishing and watching TV.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary E. (Reis) Eanes of Lorain, a
daughter Marsha A Stanko Rosso of Lorain, his sons Arthur E. (Beverly)
Stanko of St. Paul, MN., Michael J Stanko of Phoenix, AZ., Arnold E (Babette)
Stanko of Perry, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren. his sister Linda
Faye (Douglas) Meadows of Turtle Creek, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by a brother Buddy
Eanes.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 11 am until
services at 12:45 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For
Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Black River Masonic Lodge # 786
will hold a memorial service at 12:45 pm. Funeral services will then follow
at 1:00 pm.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain with full military services provided jointly by the American Legion Post 30 and the Veterans of Foriegn Wars Post 451. |
