Helen
Baker, 92 (nee Vigg) died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at the Welcome Nursing
Home In Oberlin following a brief illness.
Mrs. Baker was born in Lorain on September 29, 1917, the daughter of
the late John and Fannie (nee Shay) Vigg. She was a loving mother, a
devoted wife and a homemaker.
She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church Of
Christ in Lorain.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughter Marilyn
(James) Konowal of Huntington Beach, CA, granddaughters Kim (John)
Kosonovich, Jennifer (Shaun) Geiger, Meghan Baker, grandsons Jerod (Emily)
Konowal, David (Katie) Baker, great grandchildren, Olivia Kosonovich, Mia
Baker, Henry Baker, Charlotte Baker and one brother James Vigg of
Clearwater, FL.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
Horace in 1980, a son David A. Baker in 1979, sisters: Elizabeth Brunner,
Margaret Kiska, Ethel Cullen, Pearl Mitchell, Louise Chet, brothers: John
Vigg and Stephen Vigg.
Services were private conducted by her pastor Rev. Peter J. Toth,
of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ with burial in Elmwood
Cemetery.
