Eugene Mahon

 

     Eugene  " Hocker"  Mahon, 56, of Lorain passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, October 15, 2009.

 

     Mr. Mahon was born in Matewan, WV on June 2, 1953, the son of the late Wall and Mattie Mahon.

 

     He enjoyed bingo, fishing, and being surrounded by his family and friends.

 

     He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joyce E. (nee Morgan) Mahon, daughter Kimberly D. Mahon of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, sisters Eileen Hatfield of Elyria, Mae Murphy of Lorain, Betty Hatfield, Patricia Harmon both of Matewan, WV., brothers J. D. Mahon, Burgess Mahon, Roy Mahon, Bill Mahon, Dock Mahon, David Mahon all of Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
 
     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ermal Lawson.

 

     A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Sheffield Lake, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20th with Bro. Mike Smith, deacon, officiating.

 

     Burial will be in the family cemetery in West Virginia.
