Kenneth
V. Scott, 92 of Amherst died on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the New Life
Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. Scott was born in Buffalo, New York on March 6, 1916, the son of
the late Harry H and Alice (nee Vilchi) Scott. He served as a 1st
Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a navigator during WW II. He also
attended the University of Buffalo in New York.
He was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church in Amherst and was an
ordained Elder. He was a member of the Senior Fellowship, a charter member
of the former Westminster Presbyterian Church, and the Senior Citizens Of
Amherst.
Mr. Scott was a retired cost analyst at Ford Motor Company in Lorain
with 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Edna (nee McIlwaine) Scott,
son Kenneth P. and his wife Natalie Scott of Scottsdale, Arizona, daughter
Valerie Copeland, wife of the late Dr. William Copeland, Jr.,
grandchildren Matthew (Michelle) Copeland, Sara (Mark) Locquiao, Aaron
Copeland and Lauren Copeland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers
and three sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at Heritage Presbyterian Church, in
Amherst, on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 3:00 PM with Rev. James E. Smucker
officiating. A reception will follow the service.
