Bertha Reisner

     Bertha Reisner, 89 (nee Wojtko) of Amherst passed away on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Lake Pointe Nursing Center in Lorain following a long illness.

     Mrs. Reisner was born in Wheeling, WV on April 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Alex and Elizabeth ( nee Beres) Wojtka. She has lived in Amherst for the past 16 years.

     She attended St. Ladislaus grade school. She was a member of the Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain. She was also a member of the Moose lodge for 37 years.

     She is survived by her sons Robert Shaffer of Vermilion, Edward Shaffer of Amherst, several grandchildren,  great grandchildren and a sister Irene Traicoff of Mansfield.

     She is preceded in death by her husband Edmund S. Reisner, brothers Frank Wojtko, Steve Wojtko, Al Wojtko, sisters Elizabeth Wojtko, Julia Niznik and Mary Belgrave.

     Graveside services will be Friday, February 8, 2007 at 1:00 PM in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township.

     Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain is handling the arrangements.
