Mary G. Lee    

 

 

     Mary G. Lee, 96, (nee Gifford) of Lorain passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Kingston of Vermilion in Vermilion following a long illness.

     Mrs. Lee was born in Lorain, OH on April 15, 1911, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Christeen (nee Haher) Gifford. She was a lifelong resident.

     She was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Elyria. She was also a member of Lakeland Women's Club and the Lorain County Golfing Association.

     Mrs. Lee enjoyed golfing, bowling and her family.

     She is survived by nieces and nephews, Judy Marks of Sebring, FL, Janine McAlpin of Grafton, Karen Wright of Swanton, Norman Pember of Lorain, Edward Gifford of Nova, Janet D'Andrea of Lorain and several great nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, she was also proceeded in death by her husband Dale K. Lee in 1994, sister Anna Pries, brothers Edward Gifford, Russell Gifford, Phillip Gifford and her stepmother Eva Gifford.

     Friends may call Friday, March 7, 2008 from 10:00 until funeral time at 11:00 AM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio  44052. Col. Dale Marks, her great nephew will officiate.

     Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery,  Amherst Township.
