Lucile
Ann Klingbeil, 94 (nee Meyer) of Lorain died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at New
Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.
She was born in Lorain, OH on November 11, 1913, and was a lifetime
Lorain resident. She was a member of the first graduating class of St.
Anthony of Padua elementary school. She graduated from Lorain High School
with the class of 1932-B.
After graduation, she worked as a secretary for A. H. Babcock
Insurance Company until her marriage.
Lucile was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in
Lorain. She was a past member of the Young Ladies Sodality Club, the
Marian Guild and Senior Sociables at St. Anthony's.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, contract bridge, reading, playing
cards with her family and baking.
She was the beloved wife for 66 years of the late Edward G. Klingbeil
and the loving mother of Jane R. Klingbeil, Arlene M. (Timothy) Majesky
both of Lorain, Barbara L. (Donald) Shumaker of Norwalk and Donna J. Long
of Elyria Township; and dear grandmother of seven grandchildren and three
great grandchildren, dearly loved sister of Fred Meyer of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Philomena
(Minnie) E (nee Miller) Meyer, brother George and sister Marjorie Yando.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 11, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Schwartz,
Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. The
Marian Guild will say Rosary at 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 9:30 AM in the
funeral home followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM to be
celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave. Lorain, with
Father Chuck Henkle, assistant pastor of the Church of St. Peter, as
celebrant.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be
made to New Life Hospice, c/o Community Health Partners Foundation 3700
Kolbe Road Lorain, OH 44053-9905 or St. Anthony Catholic Church
Restoration Fund, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain.
