Mary V. Frasca
Mary V. Frasca, age 100, (nee Marchello), died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in
Kingston of Vermilion.
She was born July 8, 1907 in Patti, Sicily. She has lived in Lorain
since 1927.
A deeply loved and devoted mother, she enjoyed cooking, gardening,
knitting, arts and crafts. She was a life member of Lorain Community
Hospital Auxiliary, and a very active volunteer at the Palace Civic Center
for many years.
Mary will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou
and Nick Connone of Naples Florida, and her son and daughter-in-law, Albert
and Muriel (nee Holt) Frasca, of Springfield, Ohio, her grandchildren, Dale
Connone, Christine Connone, Glenn Frasca and Michael Frasca, six great
grandchildren and her many friends.
Her husband, Alfred Frasca, died in 1972. She was also preceded in
death by twin brothers William and Thomas Marchello and an infant sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at
11:00 AM in The Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, Ohio.
Father Charles Henkle will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary
Cemetery, Lorain.
She will lay in state at the church for one hour prior to the Mass.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the
Lorain Palace Civic Center, 617 Broadway, Lorain, Ohio 44052 in her memory.
