Viola May Cox
Viola May Cox, (nee Rudolph), 88 of Medina, Michigan passed away at the home
of her daughter in Lorain following a short illness on Tuesday, January 30,
2007.
Mrs. Cox was born in Morenci, MI on June 12, 1918. Mrs. Cox and her
husband moved to their home in Medina Township in 1946. She was a homemaker.
She enjoyed quilting, cooking, sewing, crocheting and traveling in her
camper.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughters Margaret Irene Spring of Wauseon,
Velda M. Reynolds of Lorain, son Merle K. Cox, Jr. of Hudson, MI, 11
grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Merle F. Cox in
2001, daughters Arleta P. Cox in 1946, Barbara J. Brown in 2004, parents
Jacob Rudolph and Cora M (Nee Mansfield) Rudolph Hollinger. brothers Roy
Rudolph, Chancey Rudolph, Chelsey Rudolph and her stepfather Clyde
Hollinger.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2007, at 7:00 PM
in Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street,
Lorain, OH Burial will be in Michigan.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to New Life
Hospice, c/o Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain,
Ohio 44053.

Dear Velda and Family, We were very sorry to hear of Aunt Vi's passing. She
was always so good to us kids and I have many fond memories of her. She was
kind to me when I cut my foot and took such good care of me. I was so happy
that I got to visit with her several times in the last few years. Our best
to all of you during your time of loss.

Velda and family.What a nice service you had for your Mom. We were glad we
made the trip..Aunt Vi, as she was know to us will forever be remembered
for the kindness she showed to all of us as we were growing up, and the fun
times we had visiting her the last few years will be some of our greatest
memories. We will miss her,,
