Randolph W. Taylor
Randolph W. Taylor, 58 of Lorain passed away Friday evening, August 10, 2007
at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a short illness.
Mr. Taylor was born in Saltbille, VA on January 18, 1949. His family
moved to Lorain when he was just 2 months old and he has been a resident
since. He was a 1967 graduate of Lorain High School.
He served with the US Army assigned to the NATO Group guarding a
missile sight in Venezia, Northern Italy, during the Viet Nam era.
He was employed as a HVAC Technician with various retailers in the
area. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons Aaron and Brian Taylor, one grandchild, his
mother Edith O. (nee Martin) Taylor of Lorain, brothers Kenneth D. Taylor
and Martin D. Taylor both of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his father John O. Taylor in 1982.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the
Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain
with Rev. Jay Roller, pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be Thursday, August 16, 2007 in the Ohio Western Reserve
National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman with full military honors by
the cemetery honor guard.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Grace
Baptist Church, 719 Root Road, Lorain, Ohio 44052 in his memory.
