From:     Mark Advertising
Relation: His son's employer

Don,

Your family at Mark Advertising wants you to know that we have you and your entire family in our thoughts. Our hearts break for you on such a sudden loss.

I am glad to have met your father, and to have had a chance to speak with him in great lengths about a year or so ago. Among the many things we talked about, he discussed his love and deep pride for his incredible family and on that day, is was apparent to me that he was a man of very strong morals, a man that believed in hard work and a man that loved life.

He commended me about my role at Mark Advertising and told me these very important words..."you have the respect of your employees and when you have that, you have it made...when you have respect from others, they will follow. Keep up the good work". My point being that he was also a very wise man and I appreciated the words he had to say. I learned at a very young age to listen to the wisdom of my elders.

Fathers Day is too close to this sudden passing, and my heart breaks for you and your siblings. But I wish for you that on that day you will fill your mind with memories of all the laughter you shared, all the great conversations that you had and look at the wonderful things that you did with your dad from the time you were a child and up through the adulthood...and then smile when those things come to mind...that is exactly what your dad would have wanted.

So to the entire family of Donald L. Smith, we are so very sorry for your loss, but how very blessed you all were for having him in your lives.

Sincerely,
Shelly Chesbro

Don was a very nice man with a tender heart. Though I never met him personally, his kindness and gentle personality stood out in every email he wrote.
He spoke highly of all his children and grandchildren.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the members of his family. And to all his friends at home and here in this cyberspace world, where people meet and become friends for a life time.

Very Sincerely,

Barbara/Bluejay12 & Joseph Carter
