Katheryn Recupero
Katheryn Recupero, 90 (nee Thomas) of Lorain died at Medina General Hospital
in Medina on Monday, February 5, 2007, following a long illness.
Mrs. Recupero was born in Lorain, OH on December 18, 1916. She attended
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
She was a member of the IAV.
She enjoyed caring for her family, caring for her pets, cooking,
reading, golf and dancing.
Mrs. Recupero took great pride in supporting her country during World
War II. She worked at US Steel for four years as a welder for the war
effort.
Mrs. Recupero is survived by her daughters Patricia Arnold of Medina,
Jacqueline Rushinsky of Lorain, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild,
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Michael Recupero,
her parents Joseph and Mary (nee Leopold) Thomas, brothers Adolf, Joseph
and sisters Mary and Rosie.
Friends may call Thursday, February 8, 2007, from 10 am until time of
service at 11:00 am at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals,
1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. Rev. Joseph West, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua
Catholic Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens Avon, OH.
