Joan R. Pfaff
Joan R. Pfaff, 75 (nee Seiling) of Lorain died Monday morning, November 12,
2007 at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a long illness.
Mrs. Pfaff was born in Lorain, OH on February 15, 1932 and moved to
Elyria 7 years ago. She was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1950
and Bowling Green State University in 1954. She was a 50 year member of the
Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
She was a retired kindergarten teacher for the Lorain City Schools. She
was a member of the retired Lorain Teachers Association, AARP # 339 and the
Faith Circle at her church.
Mrs. Pfaff enjoyed reading, playing cards, crafts and jigsaw puzzles.
She was a fan of both the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years J. Marvin Pfaff, three
nieces and a nephew.
Mrs. Pfaff was preceded in death by a son Glenn Pfaff in May 2005, her
parents Val C. and Helen (nee Horn) Seiling and a brother Vernon Seiling.
Friends may call Friday, November 16, 2007 from 2-6 PM at the Schwartz,
Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2007 in the
funeral home with Rev. Darlene Robinson, pastor of Emmanuel United Methodist
Church and Rev. Beth McKee, chaplain at Wesleyan Village, officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township,
OH.
The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the
Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 400 Sixth Street, Lorain, Ohio in her
memory.
