Shirley L. Mitchell
Shirley L. Mitchell, 86 (nee
Aharan) of Lorain died on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the New Life
Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Hyannisport, MA on June 25, 1920. She has
lived in Lorain since 1949. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist
Church Lorain.
She was a retired legal secretary for attorneys Edward Conley,
Richard Colella and Kenneth Stumphauzser. She retired in 1980.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Lakeland Women's Club and volunteered
at Community Health Partners Hospital. She loved golf and golfed in
several leagues.
She is survived by her caregivers Shary Barnes, Bette A. Stein both
of Lorain, many friends and distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Denton Mitchell in 1982 and
her parents James and Blanche (nee Taylor) Aharan.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, February 25, 2007 in Emmanuel
United Methodist Church, 400 W. 6th Street, Lorain, OH, at 3:00 PM with
Rev. Darlene Robinson, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be Friday, March 2, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Clemtown
Cemetery, Barbour County, West Virginia. Services in West Virginia
provided by the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home, US 50 West, Grafton, West
Virginia.
