Evelyn L.  McGinnis

Evelyn L. (nee Bonney) McGinnis, 95 of Holly, Michigan, formerly of Lorain died at the Holly Convalesce Center in Holly on Saturday, June 2, 2007, following a long illness. She was a homemaker.

     Mrs. McGinnis was born in Lorain, OH on March 26, 1912, living the majority of her life in Lorain. She was a graduate of Lorain High School.

     She was a member of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Ruth Circle of the church and the AARP.

     Mrs. McGinnis is survived by her daughters Ruby Lukovics of Grandblanc, MI, Sue Walker of Buffalo, NY, 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and step grandchildren, sister Frances Page, brothers Harvey and Armond Bonney.

     She was preceded in death by her husband Nelson McGinnis in 1996, son Ira McGinnis, parents Frank and Ruby (nee Gilmore) Bonney.

     Graveside services will be Thursday, June 7, 2007, at 2:00 PM in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain with Rev. John Ferris, pastor of Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating.

      The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Holly Convalesce Center, 313 Sherwood Dr., Holly MI  48442-1232.
