Dear Walter and all of Betty's
Loved Ones-
I am so grateful that I had a chance to get to know Betty. More so
that I can count her as a loved one also. She had such a light about her
and her love for all of those close to her was so apparent. Her face would
just light up when she would talk about her time spent with Jane when they
would go out to eat and shop and just spend wonderful times together. Her
love for all children would make her get on the floor and play. This would
tire her out for a day or two but she truly loved the little children.
I got to know Betty as her nurse but she and Walter soon became just
loving friends. They both have shared their Faith and thoughts on life as
well as a daily word and definition with me every time I saw them. To visit
with them was not work. It was a time of enjoyment (frequently throwing me
off schedule as I didn't want to leave). I look forward to visiting still
with Walter and will miss Betty's presence terribly, but am thankful to God
that my life was enriched by her sharing the walk with me.
