Roger W. Frederick
Roger W.
Frederick, 73 of Lorain died peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2007 at his
home following a long illness.
Mr. Frederick was born in Amherst, Ohio on February 19, 1934. He was a
graduate of Marion L. Steele High School and a US Navy veteran.
He was a retired VES auditor for Ford Motor Corp, both in Lorain and
Avon Lake. He had 32 1/2 years service.
Mr. Frederick was a member of and past Master of Black River Lodge #
786, F & AM, member of Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland, member and past
Patron of Day Chapter # 479 Order of Eastern Star, life member of NRA, and a
member of Amherst Eagles.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and bird watching.
Mr. Frederick is survived by his wife, Glenda D. (nee Nestor)
Frederick, to whom he was married on Nov. 30, 1957, daughter Karen L.
Frederick of Lorain, sons Michael W. Frederick of Shandon, CA., Mark A
Frederick of Lake Tahoe, CA, Ron L. Frederick of Lorain, 10 grandchildren, 4
great grandchildren, sisters Sue Erth, Gwen Baker both of Amherst, brother
Willie L. Frederick of South Amherst.
He was preceded in death by his step father and mother Clarence & Iona Kurth,
brothers Ralph Frederick and Homer Frederick.
Friends may call Monday, November 26, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at
Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street,
Lorain, Ohio 44052. Masonic services by his lodge will be at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the
funeral home with Rev. Steven Haddix, pastor of River of Life Ministries,
officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township
with full military honors provided jointly by American Legion Post 30 and
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451.
Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to American
