Wallace Dale Fitzgerald   

     Wallace Dale "Wally" Fitzgerald, 51 of Elyria, formerly of North Ridgeville died Monday, March 19, 2007, at his home following a long illness.

      Mr. Fitzgerald was born on April 8, 1955, in Lorain. He was a 1973 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. He attended Lorain County Community College studying robotics. He was retired from General Motors in 1994 after 17 years service. He was a robotics set up man.

      He volunteered at Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Center for 2 years. He enjoyed long conversations with his son & friends keeping current with political events.

      Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by a son Thomas J. "TJ" Fitzgerald of Elyria, a brother and sister-in-law Patrick R. & Jane Fitzgerald of Temple Terrace, Florida, nieces Susan & her husband John Carter of Nashville, TN & Katy and her husband Dan Ricci of  New York City, NY, fiancee Carol Henson of North Ridgeville, and friend and ex-spouse Julia (nee Tudor) Fitzgerald of Mentor.

      He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley T. and Elizabeth H. (nee Wallace) Fitzgerald and sisters Judith Ann Fitzgerald and Susan Gail Fitzgerald.

      Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Sunday, March 25, 2005, from 5-7 PM.

      Additionally, friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Mar 26, 2007 from 10:00 AM until time of graveside services at 11:30 AM in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township. The Rev. Charles E. Howard will officiate.
