Condolences From: Christy McGuire (Nelson) Relation: Former Student I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Erdy's passing. I am so glad I had him
in high school. I graduated in 1993. To this day I still talk about him
and how he taught. He was so funny. Things he did and said at the time
didn't make sense. Now as an adult and teacher, it makes perfect sense. I
got to see him and Mrs. Erdy at a local place in Lorain about 10 or so
years ago. He still remembered me. He said i was bright and promising. He
made me feel that way. All i learned in math, and life, I owe to him. I
get it now Mr. Erdy, "the answers are out there." I use a quote of his
just about each day. I will miss him allot. He was my favorite. I know he
was one of a kind. Thank you Mrs. Erdy for sharing him with all us
students all those years. Your family is in my prayers. From: Gail Wasem Rose
I was saddened to learn of Mr. Erdy's death. I was student of his at Firelands High School. At the time of my father's death, Mr. Erdy was especially kind and concerned and I've never forgotten his thoughtfulness. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
From: Paul Januzzi
Dear Paul,
I am extremely grateful for the time I shared working with Paul Erdy. To me he was my Mentor. Much of my development as a Coach I owe to him. His knowledge, and viewpoint was a blessing for me to be around. As a young coach he had a tremendous amount of confidence in me and in my potential. That is something I have always leaned on, and it's been a source of strength. Thank you Paul so much, for all that you were to me and for me. I will continue to think of you often.
Virginia, I was saddened to
learn of Paul's passing in last Friday's paper. My wife and I were driving
to VA to see a daughter and read our paper while at her house. Since I was
unable to make the visitation or funeral service, I wanted you to know you
were in my thoughts and prayers. I certainly enjoyed my relationship with
Paul and will always remember the two of you fondly. May God provide all
the comfort you need in the days ahead. From: Doug Erdy
Our deepest sympathy from the
Erdy family in Houston, Texas. My mother and father Don and Dottie Erdy also
offer condolences. From: Tom and Linda (DeLuca)
