Albert C. Wood

Albert C. Wood, 79 of Lorain, formerly of Waynesburg, PA died Saturday afternoon, March 11, 2006, at Community Health Partners & Surgical Center in Lorain following a long illness.
     Mr. Wood was born in Blacksville, WV on June 22, 1926, moving to Lorain 3 1/2 years ago.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator working from the International Union Of Operating Engineers. He retired in 1973.
     He was a member of the Waynesburg PA Senior Citizens. He enjoyed woodworking and building things. He owned and operated a small farm and liked to work in his garden.  
     Mr. Wood is survived by a daughter Betty J Goble of Lorain, OH, 2 grandchildren,  2 great grandchildren, sister Emma Belle Earl of Deland, FL, and one brother Herbert Wood.  

     He was preceded in death by his wife Delores (nee Swaniger) Wood in 1990, a longtime companion Ernestine Amos, and his parents Francis D. and Minerva (nee Temple) Wood.
     Friends may call on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at the Waynesburg Bible Chapel, 800 E. Green Street, Waynesburg, PA at Noon. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 PM at the Green County Memorial Park-Oakmont Cemetery with Rev. Larry Douglas, pastor of the Waynesburg Bible Chapel, officiating.
