Elsie C. Szabo

Elsie C. Szabo, 83 (nee Nagy)  of Lorain died Sunday, February 26, 2006, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a long illness. Her husband John preceded her in death 5 days earlier.
    

Mrs. Szabo was born in Lorain, OH on March 4, 1922, and was a lifelong resident of Lorain. She had worked for the Former General Industries for 10 years retiring in 1960. Most recently, she  was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of St. Ladislaus Church Lorain.
    

     She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and watching or listening to the Cleveland Indians Baseball games.

     Mrs. Zsabo is survived by a daughter Dianne Harp of Elyria, OH, 2 granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.

     She was preceded in death by her husband John Szabo on February 21, 2006, and her parents John  and Katalin ( nee Horvath) Nagy.

     Friends may call Thursday, March 2, 2006, from  6-8 PM at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals,  1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio  44052.

     Joint funeral services for Mr. & Mrs. Szabo will be Friday, March 3, 2006, at 10:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ladislaus Church, 1412 E. 29th Street, Lorain, OH at 11:00 AM, with Rev. James P. Schmitz, pastor of St. Ladislaus Church, officiating.

     They will be burial in Calvary Cemetery Lorain, OH.

     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice, c/o Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
