Margaret Norrod
Margaret Norrod, 79 (nee Priestas) of Henrietta Township died Wednesday,
December 13, 2006, at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a
long illness.
Mrs. Norrod was born on June 13, 1927, in Bitumen, PA. She has lived in
Henrietta Township for the past 47 years. She was a member of the Henrietta
United Methodist Church.
She worked for the Firelands School District for 20 years. She retired
as the head custodian at Fireslands High School in 1991. The students at the
high school then voted her into the National Honor Society.
Mrs. Norrod was a member of the Jolly 60's. She enjoyed baking,
gardening, crotcheting, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons Paul M. Norrod and Douglas F. Norrod both
of Wakeman, daughter Brenda S. Romantic of Elyria, 5 grandchildren and
sisters Elizabeth Sabo of Bethlehem PA and Helen Kemerer of Lockhaven PA and
many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Norrod was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary (nee
Fedurchak) Priestas, brothers Edward Priestas, Joseph Priestas, George
Priestas, infant brothers Michael and John Priestas, sisters Mary Novotney,
Ann Vallier, Susan Vitkoski and Rose Petro.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 7:00
PM in the Henrietta United Methodist Church, 52148 State Route 113, Amherst,
OH (Henrietta Township) with Rev. Ray Ake, officiating.
Burial is private.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the
Henrietta United Methodist Church, 52148 State Route 113, Amherst, Ohio
44001.
