Condolences
From: Bob Marr
Relation: Friend and band-mate
My brother just told me of Sonny's death. I am deeply saddened, and offer my
sincere condolence for your loss.
Sonny and I go way back to the late 60s when we were in a rock band
together. The group was called The Ice Cream Social and we played a lot at
Cambridge Inn, and other places. I still have a photo of Sonny and me on
stage, he with his McCartney-style bass, and me with my Gretch six string.
I would love to share that photo with the family but regrettably, I will not
be able to make it back to Ohio for the services. I will attempt to locate
the family by other means.
I had vowed to find the members of the band, but I had no idea where they
might be. Finding Sonny this way is the ultimate failure on my part. Again,
my deepest condolences.

I was very saddened to hear about Sonny. We had great times and memories
together back in the 60's playing gigs all around Ohio with Bob Marr, Ken
Urbanski, Billy Kidd and later Carl Miksanic, Bruce Shafstall, Dale Doman.
They were wonderful times and I will never forget them or Sonny...
Rest in peace my friend... you were a talent.
