Norman Standen Myhrman

 

     Norman Standen Myhrman, 69 of Amherst Township died Wednesday afternoon at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center of Lorain following a long illness.


     Mr. Myhrman was born in McKeesport, PA on March 21, 1937,  and has lived in this area since December 1944. He was a 1955 graduate of Elyria High School.


     He was a veteran of the US Navy Reserve Seabee's.


     In 1975 he co-founded Northern Refrigeration. He co-owned and operated this business until his retirement in 2000. He then was a consultant for several years. He was also a member of the Plumbers and Pipe fitters Union Local # 42 Norwalk.


     He was an accomplished photographer and enjoyed computering, and traveling.


     Mr. Myhrman is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gayle E. (nee Herman) Myhrman,  son Michael Myhrman of Lorain, daughters Traci Myhrman of Elyria, Terri Robinson of Riverside, CA, Kim Gifford of Las Vegas, NV, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sister  Joan Myhrman of Tuscaloosa, AL and several nieces.


      He was preceded in death by his son Mark E. Myhrman on Aug 14, 1997, parents George and Gladys B. (nee Standen) Myhrman and a brother Ralph A. Myhrman.


     Friends may call Friday, June 30, 2006 from  2-4 and 7-9 PM  at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH.


     Funeral Services at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, at 11:00 A on Saturday, July 1, 2006 with Rev. Darlene Robinson, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church officiating.


     Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery Elyria, OH.


     Family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to South Amherst Fire Department 105 West Main Street Amherst, Ohio  44001.
