Lawrence J. Macartney
Lawrence J. Macartney, 60 of Elyria died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at
Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Center-Elyria Campus unexpectedly.
Mr. Macartney was born in Lorain, OH on November 30, 1945. He graduated
from Lorain Admiral King High School in 1963 and he also attended Lorain
County Community College.
He was a US Air Force veteran serving from 1963 to 1967. He was
employed by the Nordson Corporation since 1968 and was currently a senior
engineer.
Mr. Macartney enjoyed fishing, woodworking and cooking.
He is survived by his daughters: Kris Troxtell of Lorain, OH.,
Kimberly Onstott of Goodyear, AZ, 3 grandchildren, two brothers: David
Macartney of Lorain, OH, Richard Macartney of Lorain, OH, 2 nephews and one
niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents James S and Matilda S. (nee
Fritsch) Macartney.
Friends may call Saturday, January 7, 2005from 1:00 PM until funeral
time at 3 PM. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124
W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. The Rev. Edgar Anthony, pastor of St.
Peter and Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will private.
