Lowell A. Kneisel
Lowell A. Kneisel, 71 of Lorain died Monday, February 13, 2006 at the New
Life Hospice Center at S. Joseph following a brief illness.
Mr. Kneisel was born in Amherst, Ohio on January 29, 1935 and lived in
this area all his life. He was a 1953 B graduate of Lorain High School and a
US Army veteran.
He was a lifetime member of St. John United Church of Christ Lorain,
OH. He was serving as President of his church council, a Liturgist and
participated in the Coffee Hour.
He was retired from the City of Lorain as an assistant city engineer
with 41 years service. He was a member of the Lorain Lakeview Lawn Bowling
Club and Senior Fellowship. He enjoyed gardening, lawn work, woodworking and
especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Ruth (nee Parker) Kneisel to whom he was
married on June 11, 1960, daughter: Patricia L. Ritter of Amherst, OH,
sons: Ken H. Kneisel of Amherst, OH., David L Kneisel of Westlake, OH ,
eight grandchildren, brother Alan Kneisel of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents Howard A. and Maretta E. (nee
Avery) Kneisel.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 15, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at
Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street,
Lorain, OH 44052.
Funeral Services will be at St. John United Church of Christ, 715 Reid
Ave. Lorain, OH, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 16th, with Rev. Philip
Kunz, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township,
OH.
