Dear Gerda and Warren: Pat and
I want to express the deep pain we feel for you and your family--- Our
thoughts are with you...
From: Larry & Diane Freedman
Relation: Friend
There comes a time for all of
us
when we must say good-bye,
But faith and hope and love
and trust will never die.
Although the curtain has fallen for David
The future’s fairer than the past
When we believe
And trust in God’s eternal care-
Perhaps his time seemed all too brief
A friendship shared, a laugh, a love, and his music
these things, I too, will miss.
We must try to look beyond earth’s shadows,
We will miss David,
and our hearts are sore,
As time goes by we miss him more.
His loving smile, his gentle face:
No one can fill his vacant place.
We will always remember David.
We send Our Prayers,
Larry & Diane Freedman

David was my violin teacher in high school and was a very gifted person. He
helped me to appreciate music more than I could ever know and also taught me
the value of patience. I am deeply saddened by his passing and may God bless

Dear Klein Family,
David's death is truly a tragic loss. I will always remember him with that
million dollar smile. He and Jonathan spent time at our house when the kids
were all in High School, and I have to admit those 2 were my favorite of
Katy's friends. May the memories of happier times be a comfort to you during
these sorrowful days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Molly and Bill

To Mr. and Mrs. Klein and family,
You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of your son.
I am a former neighbor from Lorain and was a babysitter for Randi and the
boys. I remember the loving home of parents committed to the lives of their
children.
I know your hearts are broken. It is with the help of your close family and
friends that you will get through this time of grief. There is no greater
pain for parents than to lose a child. I can only imagine the depth of your
sadness and the heaviness of your hearts.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Yours very kindly,
Debra Bennett Calabrese

Mr. and Mrs. Klein:
Both David and Jonathan were truly talented men, ahead of their time in many
ways. My life has been enriched from the time spent with both of them.
I have found that the best way to pay tribute to them is in the great
stories told of the many adventures while they were with us.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

From: Lisa Kleinhans Trevathan
Relation: High school friend
Dear Klein Family:
I was so saddened to hear about your recent loss. David and I were friends
in high school. We were in choir, Soundsations and musicals together.
Gerda and Warren, you may also remember that we went to the prom together in
1982 (my senior year).
David was a very talented musician both instrumentally and vocally. I'll
never forget when he starred as Nathan Detroit in the musical "Guys and
Dolls". Both David and Jonathan were "naturals" on stage. They must have
made you very proud!
David was a kind man. In '01, when I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, he
sent me a very thoughtful card expressing his support. Since we hadn't been
in contact in quite a while, he also updated me with the news that he had
married and had had twins. Being the proud husband and father that he was,
he even enclosed a picture of his family. I, too, am happily married and
have (three) wonderful children. We recently moved to beautiful
Northeastern Tennessee for my husband's job.
I can only imagine the pain and shock that you are all feeling over your
loss. GiGi, may God give you the strengh to raise those two beautiful
children, Hannah and Josiah, without David. May his memory live on
through his children always. Our thoughts and prayers are with you
