William E. Kandle
William E. Kandle, 80 of Elyria died Thursday,
April 13, 2006 at Elyria Memorial Hospital Regional Medical Campus in Elyria
following a brief illness.
Mr. Kandle was born in Wilmington, DE on February 24, 1926. He has
lived in Elyria since 1996 moving there from North Ridgeville. Previously,
he lived in Sheffield Lake.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Apprentice Seaman. He was a
retired long distance truck driver for Allied Movers-Neil Movers.
Mr. Kandle is survived by his wife Anna L. (nee Paxton) Kandle to whom
he was married on October 14, 1944. Also surving are daughters Anna J
Elfelt of Long Beach, MS, Patricia G Schigel of Sheffield Lake, Betty F
McNeil of Crestview, FL, Diana L Hale of Lakewood, son(s): William S Kandle
of North Ridgeville, David A Kandle of Lorain, 19 grandchildren, and 22
great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Emma (nee
Anderson) Kandle, sisters: Thelma Calerly, Mildred Mills, Doris Jannicco,
and a brother Richard Kandle.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 16, 2006 from 3:00 PM until funeral
time at 7:00 PM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals,
1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052. Rev. James E. Smucker, pastor of
Heritage Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Burial will be Monday, April 17, 2006 at 10:30 am in Ohio Western
Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio 44270-0008.
