Florence R. Johns

   Florence R. Johns, 83 (nee Lucas) died late Friday evening, March 24, 2005 at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center in Lorain following a long illness.

 

   Mrs. Johns was born in Maple Run, PA on May 12, 1922. She attended the former First United Methodist Church. She worked at the former Smith & Gerharts Department Store for 21 years.

 

   She is survived by nephews James R. Lucas, Jr, David A Lucas, Richard L. Lucas oall of Lorain, Thomas E. Lucas of Willoughby, OH, Joseph M. Lucas of San Jose CA, nieces Selma E. Christian of Amarilla, TX and Donna J. Toranto of Elyria.

 

   She was preceded in death by her husband William H. Johns in 1997, father George A. Lucas, mother Selma E. Lucas Deliman (nee Young), brother James R. Lucas, Fred Lucas, George R."Bob" Lucas, and William R. "Bill" Deliman.
 
   Graveside services at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst, OH, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 29th, 2006 with Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone Unithe Methodist Church,  officiating.
