James F. Glime

 

     James F. Glime, 59 of Lorain died Thursday afternoon. February 16, 2006 at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center unexpectedly.
     Mr. Glime was born in Lorain, OH on January 12, 1947 and was a life long resident of the area. He was a 1965 graduate of Lorain High School and attended college for two years. He retired in December 2005 from USS Kobe Steel after 34 years service.
     He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era.
     He was an avid sports fan especially the Browns and the Indians. He played several sports in high school and continued to play even into his early adulthood. He excelled in karaoke and was known as "Motown Jim" He also enjoyed traveling.
     He is survived by his longtime companion Linda Shreves, a sister:  Audrey Witt of Lorain, OH several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
     He was preceded in death by his parents Donald F. and Kathleen (nee Shoup) Glime, and a brother Robert Glime in May of 2005.

     Funeral Services will be at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 20th, 2005  with Rev. Dale Warrick, pastor of Cornerstone United Methodist Church,  officiating.
