Harold E. "Bud" Garfield

    Harold E. "Bud" Garfield, 70 of Lorain died Wednesday, November 1, 2006, at Community Heath Partner's Regional Health Center in Lorain following a brief illness.

 

     Mr. Garfield was born in Lorain, OH on December 7, 1935. He was a 1953A graduate of Lorain High School. He was a US Air force veteran during the Korean Conflict assigned to Turkey building communication towers.


     He owned and operated Garfield Construction in Lorain for many years and worked at US Steel in Lorain. He was an enthusiastic genealogist.


     Mr. Garfield is survived by a son Edward Garfield of Elyria, OH and a sister Elva Behr of Lorain, OH two nephews and two nieces.


     He was preceded in death by his wife Edda (nee Iacobozzi) Garfield in 2002, his parents Edward  M. and Portia S. (Allen) Garfield, a sister Judith Garfield and a brother Richard Day. 

 

     Services will be private.


     Arrangements are being handled by Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, OH.


     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Animal Protective League of Lorain County 8303 Murray Ridge Road Elyria, OH 44035.
