Ruth E. Erdei

Ruth E. Erdei, 93 (nee Beal) died Friday, August 11, 2006, at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.

 

Mrs. Erdei was born in Frederickstown, Ohio on April 25, 1913. She moved to Lorain as a child. She was a graduate of Lorain High School  class of 1930B. She was a homemaker.

 

She was a member of Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church. She was also a member of AARP and the Lorain Senior Citizens. She was a Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed baking and gardening. Her favorite pastime was bowling.

 

Mrs. Erdei  is survived by a son Ronald S. Erdei of Anaheim, CA, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a sister Eileen  Shawver of Lorain, Ohio.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Steven J. Erdei in 1991, her parents Omer and Dora (nee Gibson) Beal, brothers Paul and Richard Beal and sisters Lola Lesiesky, and Francis Wolfe.

 

Graveside services at Elmwood Cemetery will be Thursday, August 17, 2006, at 11:00 AM with Rev. John Ferris, pastor of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church,  officiating.
