My heart is with you as you mourn your mother's passing. I have many fond memories of Aunt Lynn as she corralled all my cousins, not to mention a number of neighborhood kids. I hope to be there to say good-bye.

Excerpt from a poem by Robert Hepburn, "I Am Not There"

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there, I did not die.

I am so sorry for your loss. Both my mother and father passed away this year, so I know first hand how disruptive and painful the loss of a family member can be. My thoughts and wishes are with you at this difficult time.

I saw you not so long ago; it was just the other day.
Now your soul lays at rest, and we will bow our heads and pray.
For the Lord has called your spirit to His heavenly home, and though

it seems you are by yourself, you did not go alone.
Part of us went with you, and part of you remains, you live inside of all us,

we will never be the same.
You see, you touched our lives, and opened our eyes to see,

that the Lord holds you in his arms, and you finally are free.
So, these tears we shed are sweet ones, and the memories will make us smile,
This feeling we have won't stay for long, it will only last a while.
For we know you are at peace, as your body lays at rest,

because we know in our hearts, God only takes the best.
