Ethel A. Britt

      Ethel A. Britt, 92, (nee Klesa) of Lorain died Monday, June 12, 2006, at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph following a brief illness.

     Mrs. Britt was born September 24, 1913, in Vandergrift, Pa., and lived in Lorain for 65 years. She held a bachelors degree in education from Ohio State University and was a graduate of the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing Registered Nurse program.
     She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain where she was a charter member of Meals-on-Wheels and delivered meals for more than 25 years. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and entertaining her growing family.
     Mrs. Britt is survived by her daughter Judith L. Baker of Huber Heights, sons James R. Britt of Lorain, Richard P. Britt of Amherst, 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Britt in 1992, her parents Albert H. and Louise W. (nee Mohr) Klesa, brother Howard Klesa and a sister Lyda Davies.
     Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer and Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. Fifth St, Lorain on Thursday, June 15, 2006, from 5:00 PM until funeral time at 7:00 PM. The Reverend Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate.
     Burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township at a later date.
